I grew up in central Pennsylvania and always loved animals.  As soon as I was able to hold a pencil, I was drawing horses and dogs.  I've been painting professionally for 25 years.

My work has been accepted by the American Academy of Equine Art in Lexington, KY and won an award in their 2002 equine art exhibit.  My work has also received First Place in Watercolor and Best Draft Horse Theme awards in the Art At the Classic show held at the Draft Horse Classic in Grass Valley, CA.

My work has been included in the Historic Yellow Springs Art Exhibit for more than 10 years and I have been invited to particpate in the Equine Art Show at the Devon Horse Show and County Fair since 2004.  I have shown at the Laurels at Landhope and the Eastern Region Andalusian Horse Show at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Virginia.  My work has also been featured in various publications including the art issue of Horse News, American Carriage Driver magazine, and Rural Heritage Magazine.

I work primarily in watercolor but also enjoy the drama and detail of graphite. The horse has facinated me since childhood and I am still inspired by it's beauty, power, and intelligence.
